| STATUS SYMBOL Definition: A possession that people think shows their high social status and wealth. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for owner. 2. Thing is independently or fully owned. And item was deliberately purchased or acquired to reflect standing. 3. No legal encumbrance exists on the use or usage of thing. 4. Not a thing that is commonly or regularly seen with others. 5. The owner will sparsely or rarely use, display, apply, etc. the possession. And never lends it out, no matter who requests for thing. 6. Engenders some envy, jealousy, desire, etc., especially from the rivals, if any, or in the less wealthy, the voracious or greedy. That is, thing serves purpose(s), even if owner pretentiously claims ignorance of this. 7. Will never be given away or offered for free, except to somebody who is equally wealthy. And/but, who will be expected to reject offer. 8. A damage or dent on thing will be quickly attended to or repaired. Or where a replacement is required, this will be promptly ensured. 9.
