SPRING CHICKEN

Definitions:

i. (idiomatic - be no spring chicken) To be no longer young.

ii. (humorous) If you say that someone is no spring chicken, you are saying that they are not young.

1. All past follies and errors are realized and person has adapted quickly to new older age (and mistakes are therefore not repeated!).

2. Priorities would have changed after having been reviewed (tending more now to concern for the hereafter and other-worldliness).

3. Physical energy or power is noticeably reduced (no expectation to prove a point by engaging in a strenuous physical activity).

4. Behaviour and attitudes conform now with what is expected of an adult (no sign of foolhardiness or childishness).

5. Thoughts are now more or fully matured, not infantile in nature (solid, ennobling ideas; not uncertain, worrying beliefs).

6. Associations, relationships, etc. will be restricted or exclusive, and will be of own free will (choices will be well-thought out).
