| SPLURGE Definition: (informal) The act of spending a lot of money on something that you do not really need. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Money is fully yours - not co-owned or borrowed or someone else's. 2. Thing was initially thought needed. That is, the act or 'waste' (= (mis)spending) is not deliberate. 3. Thing is not completely a waste in the end. That is, thing has some use(s) and/or has a residual value. __________________ 4. You do not have a physical injury, wound, etc. as a result of thing wrongly acquired, used or bought. 5. Nothing significant is gained or benefited from thing (to emphasize, connect to #3). __________________ 6. Cost of acquisition was not exorbitant or prohibitive. That is, there was no overpayment in the course of spending money. 7. Amount spent is not all the money you have and it is not a major part of your funds. And it is not your savings - no matter the sum spent! (To emphasize.) __________________ 8. Spender (= person) learns some lesson or lessons from mistake. 9.
