| SOUNDING BOARD (1) Definition: A person or group of people that you discuss your ideas with before you make them known or reach a decision. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Person or group has or have a purpose and it is considered a necessity to consult him/her/them (to emphasize). ______________________ WHATEVER THE IDEA. 2. Person or group is/are adequately informed or knowledgeable, by training, experience, education, etc. – though not to be regarded as ‘expert(s)’ on the subject (or idea). ___________________________ WACKY, OR ... (FRIEND) 3. All the appropriate and/or necessary facts or information are made available to person or group, as requested and timely too. _______________________________ ROUTINE. (ACQUAINTANCE) 4. Person or group is in the right frame of mind, prior and during consultations. (Not necessarily geniuses or dullards.) ____________________ 'SICK' ... (FOE) 5. No unreasonable deadline is faced by person or group. ______________________________ OR COMPLEX. (STRANGER) 6. The contribution(s) of person or group - be it a lie or truth, minor or major, early or timely (not late!), etc. - are useful, whatever direction this/these go.
