| SOUNDCHECK Definition: A process of checking that the equipment used for recording music, or for playing music at a concert, is working correctly and producing sound of a good quality. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (see definition). 2. Necessary (connect to #1). __________________________ 'HELLO, HELLO. HELLO' ! 3. Process of check involves: ________________________ a. Ensuring that the equipment needed are complete. b. Confirming that the equipment are the correct ones, in respect of wattage, mic type, etc. c. Ensuring that cables, cords, etc., are correctly connected. d. Positioning the equipment, especially the speaker(s), in the right place(s). e. Setting or tuning of the gadgets, devices, etc. into the right channels, etc. f. Changing or replacing any item whose output will disturb the functionality of equipment or reduce the quality of sound. g. Making sure that the available voltage is correct and steady. h. i. __________________________________________ 'TESTING, TESTING ..., ONE, TWO, THREE'. 4. A sound engineer or somebody who is capable, with an excellent sense of hearing, of confirming information required, by the checker, is present, during the process, to help in achieving the objective(s). 5.
