| SOLEMNITY (1) Definition: The quality of being solemn (= being not happy or smiling; doing, talking, etc. in a very serious and sincere way). ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Cause of unhappiness or frown, or basis of seriousness and honesty, is known or established by law, tradition, rule, custom, etc. 3. Absorption or involvement in situation will be full, complete. And a distraction or digression will not occur during the period. 4. No time will be wasted during period. That is, no diversion or misdirection will occur in the situation. 5. No unplanned loss will be suffered as a result of being solemn. 6. Looks, visage, posture, etc. in situation cannot and would not be misinterpreted for some joy or a grin, being not serious or insincerity. 7. Lasts for period of time required. 8.
