| SOLACE (1) Definition: (formal) A feeling of emotional comfort when you are sad or disappointed; a person or thing that makes you feel better or happier when you are sad or disappointed. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. * This not about a person/thing. 1. All that ought to have been done before sadness or disappointment came about were done. Or all that was not able to be done was beyond your capability/capacity or control. 2. No expectation that an occurrence or a happening will get worse in the situation. And no present danger or real risk exists at the time. 3. An assurance or belief that situation of sadness or disappointment will be temporary is available or present. And (brief) period of temporariness will be considered tolerable. 4. Nothing will be done deliberately to try to bring about feeling. That is, 'the hope' (= emotional comfort) comes about naturally. 5. Important, relevant and meaningful goal(s) can still be pursued in the situation.
