| SOFT OPTION Definition: Easiest alternative. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Considered purposeful and necessary to take or choose the easiest. 2. Option will be the cheapest to accomplish in terms of time - quickest to reach or occur; effort - needs the smallest amount of spadework; decision-making - fastest to arrive at. 3. Whichever of the possibilities is picked will be the least shocking or surprising, tormenting or frightening, risky or daring, etc., in the considered opinion of the decision-maker. 4. There will be a certainty about the aftermath or outcome of the choice. And the predictable result will be considered as the most secured (lawful) and desirable (ennobling) in the situation. That is, the alternative will be proven. 5. No accountability or explanation will be required, no demand for a defence or justification, and no serious rebuke or punishment will be received or suffered, especially if and when things go awry. 6. Most comforting choice provides an escape route, will be readily excusable, unlikely to be resisted or challenged, condemned or criticized; cannot bring a condemnation or guilt feeling. 7.
