| SOFT LANDING (1) Definition: In economics, a soft landing is a situation in which the economy stops growing but this does not produce a recession. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Decline or slowdown was seen approaching or suspected as it comes. 2. Causes or reasons for stoppage can be understood (connect to #1). 3. Efforts at a recovery, an improvement, etc. will be ongoing. 4. Lasts for a considerable, but specific duration (connect to #3). 5. The losses, disadvantages, etc. from low productivity, unemployment, etc. will be substantial. 6.
