| SOCIAL INCLUSION Definition: Social inclusion is the act of making all groups of people within a society feel valued and important. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and believed necessary, especially for the authority that decides to include all and sundry. 2. Not brought about by a legal ruling or judgement, and not aided by the outcome of a prolonged negotiation. 3. Consultations will be made, every time, with all shades of opinions and all points of view will be considered in any decision-making process; with all being informed, at the same time, of the final decisions taken. All the groups will, therefore, feel like stakeholders in the society's progress. 4. Equal opportunities and fair play will be prevalent in society - no discrimination, unfairness or bias by the leaders in the group. That is, the application of laws, rules and regulations will be equitable. 5. Freedom and liberties will be assured for all the members in a group to display skills, talents, abilities, and to show courage, etc. That is, the chances, if any, to dare, will be the same for all. 6. Each and every group will be given reasonable tasks or responsibilities and mobilized appropriately to perform roles, thereby giving all the sense of belonging and a feeling of being trusted. 7. Rewards from the wealth or earnings of the collective will be judiciously and transparently managed or used, and.or will be shared amongst all the groups, to the degree of their contributions or as will be agreed by all of them. 8.
