| SMASH (3) Definition: (in tennis, etc.) A way of hitting the ball downwards and very hard. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary in the player's opinion. 2. Style of hitting ball will not cause a problem - dislocation, sprain, fall, etc. - for player, especially if play will still continue after hit. 3. Ball does not hit the opponent(s). (To emphasize.) ___________________________ STANDING OR MID-AIR. 4. Ball is not damaged or destroyed on being hit. And the speed, downwards, will be as desired. 5. Racquet, bat, etc. does not get damaged from hard hit. 6.
