Definition: Superficial burn (= a slight burn, usually caused by a mistake).

1. Source or sources of mistake is/are known. That is, error will have specific and identifiable origin(s).

2. It will not be possible to permanently eliminate the telltale sign (= obvious mark or scar) of the mistake.

3. Touch burn will not result in a real loss, disadvantage, etc., though a 'healing' can not be thorough.

4. There will be no desire to reconstruct or redesign, disguise or destroy the damaged place or surface.

5. Origin(s) of mark can be disclosed. That is, mistake can be admitted or some disfigurement lived with.

6. No one will be punished or seriously rebuked for causative error. And no self-loathing will arise afterwards.

7. Burn will constantly be noted. There will, therefore, be an expectation that error would not be repeated.
