SIGNING (1)

Definition: The act of writing your name at the end of an official document to show that you accept it.

1. Purposeful and necessary.

2. Document is read completely through and understood. Or listened to fully, and understood, if document is read to the person to sign.

3. (Reserved.) (Corrections, if any, that are required are demanded and effected before a signature is appended.)

4. Writing is placed at the right space or part of document.

5. What is used to write name is of a permanent nature. That is, the ink, etc. won't 'disappear' after act.

6. (Reserved.) (Act is witnessed appropriately and/or the document is jointly signed, with another person, if required.)

7. Names are the official ones and will be written in full - correctly and clearly.

8. (Not a writing made above or under or across another person's handwritten or typed name, even if it's so appropriately indicated. (To emphasize.)

9. Writing serves purpose(s), even if signature will be denied later!
