SHOW BUSINESS

Definition: The business of providing public entertainment, for example in the theatre, in films/movies or in television.

1. Purposeful and necessary.

2. What is provided is truly enthralling, stunning, thrilling, etc.

3. Patronage or attendance is guaranteed. That is, public will always attend events, watch shows, tune in to programs or stations, etc. In other words, play, production, series, etc. will be top-grade.

4. No illegality will be involved in such a way that show can be terminated before its conclusion, or brought to an abrupt end.

5. No problem will be encountered in the execution of ideas or plans, that will result in a decline of attendance figures, or reduction in television audience.

6. No risk or danger, humiliation or embarrassment, etc. will be faced by theatre-goers, movie buffs or television viewers from what is provided.

7. Entertainment will be generally realistic or real, not strictly surreal or completely phantom. That is, the showmanship, display, stagecraft, film, portrayal, program, etc. will be what every normal right-thinking human being can relate to and/or agree with.

8. The organization and presentation of 'offerings' will be orderly. That is, arrangements, schedules, timings, venues, etc. will be convenient for the public to enable them get involved. (To emphasize.)

9. Shows serve purpose(s). That is, entertainment benefits all the parties involved - producers/marketers (profits), actors/actresses (earnings), fans/audience (pleasure, fun, etc.)
