| SHORT SHRIFT (1) Definition: Brief and unsympathetic treatment. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful for who treats a person or thing in particular manner, whether or not ordered or done of the free will of the unkind party. 2. Considered necessary to be brief and harsh. (Connect to #2.) 3. 'Disregard' or 'scorn' will be clearly deliberate and justifiable. That is, action will not be apologized for or regretted in the future. 4. Basis will be made known to the sufferer(s) or victim(s). 5. Who or what gets treated badly will not take the issue to heart. And will learn quickly from the negative experience and mend old ways. 6. A loss will be suffered as a direct result of brief ill-treatment. 7.
