| SHAME (1) Definition: The feelings of sadness, embarrassment and guilt that you have when you know that something you have done is wrong or stupid. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. You knew beforehand that the thing you planned to do is wrong or stupid, but did not expect the outcome (= feelings) to turn out the way it did. (see perfect AWOL.) 2. You are not expected, by others, to do wrong or stupid thing. That is, you have no excuse for action. (see perfect RAPIST.) 3. No opportunity for you to make amends for wrong or stupid action. (see perfect ATTEMPTED FRAUD.) 4. Personal loss will arise in the situation and this can't be recouped immediately (connect to #4 & #9). (see perfect SHAMELESSNESS (1).) 5. Your reputation or standing is or will be damaged as a result of the wrong or stupid action taken. That is, no good comes or can come out of the wrongdoing/stupidity. (see perfect DISAPPOINTMENT (1).) 6. There is another person or there are other people present at the time of negative and foolish action (if applicable) (connect to #9). (see perfect SELF-ABUSE (2).) 7. No bravado or acts of self-sacrifice or self-delusion can rescue you from the situation. This is no time for 'the swagger'! (To emphasize.) (see perfect SELF-DELUSION.) 8. The experienced sadness, embarrassment and guilt lasts or will last for an unnecessarily long period of time, in your estimation. And this burden will be almost unbearable (see perfect GOOD NAME.) 9. Another person or other persons, whether present or absent, is/are or will be diminished by the actions you wrongly or stupidly take.
