| SET-ASIDE Definition: A system in which the government pays farmers not to use some of their land for growing crops; the land that the farmers are paid not to use. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially in the opinion of government. 2. Land is used or usable for some other economic activity. For example, as a grazing field, rental, etc. 3. Land is not deliberately damaged or spoiled.
