Definition: A person who uses long, unusual, sometimes obscure words in speech or writing.

2. Sure that there are listeners or there will be readers.

3. Cares not whether highfalutin words used are understood.

4. Can explain the meaning of those lengthy, strange, sometimes unclear words.

5. Expects some benefit from showiness or trying to sound clever.

6. Will cause no unplanned loss, for instance, if a speech writer.

7. Words selected are of language or languages familiar to audience.

8. There will be no tautology or verbosity or catachresis during use.

9. Speaker or writer achieves objective(s), whatever this/these is/are.
