| SENSE OF OCCASION Definition: A feeling that people have, when a planned event takes place, that something special and important is happening. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the people to have feeling. 2. People at event are formally invited. And/or event is officially organized, if it's an 'open sesame, all-comers'. 3. There will be attempt to 'touch', 'taste', 'smell', etc. event. That is, presence and accompanying involvement or attentiveness during the activities of event will be assured; full-on. 4. An understanding and/or appreciation of what will be happening will be achievable or possessed (to emphasize, connect to #6). 5. Response (= attitude, behaviour, reply, reaction, etc.) concerning what's happening will be appropriate, but this will not be hissing, booing, slow handclap, a walkout, pitch invasion, etc. 6. Feeling lasts throughout the duration of event, even if a loss will be suffered as a direct outcome of the attention being paid. 7. There will be no second chance to relive experience or there will be no repeat of the event. That is, an opportunity to participate in or a chance to witness event will be available only once. 8. Something will be learned and/or a gain or an advantage will be had in or from having particular feeling.
