| SENATE (1) Definition: (usually - the Senate) One of the two groups of elected politicians who make laws in some countries, for example in the US, Australia, Canada and France. The Senate is smaller that the other group but higher in rank. Many state parliaments in the US also have a Senate. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. In other words, this body is not in competition with the other (see definition) and/or another Senate.
