| SECURE UNIT Definition: A secure unit is a building or part of a building where dangerous criminals or violent psychiatric patients are kept. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have separate section. 2. Solidly-built and well-fortified; escape will be impossible. 3. Arrangements in place will not put any 'criminal' or 'lunatic' at risk. And needed treatment or care will reach 'ends' of the location. 4. Maintained neatly, cleanly - not a source of more health problems. 5. Access to and exits from place will be especially quick and easy. 6. Monitored by guards, through CCTVs, all day long, all-year through. 7. Will be identifiable, by a sign, as an exclusive area, if required. 8.
