| SCORN Definitions: i. [ ~ (for somebody/something) A strong feeling that somebody/something is stupid or not good enough, usually shown by the way you speak. ii. Hot or extreme contempt, usually less self-conscious than disdain. iii. An expression of contempt. iv. The object of contempt. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. * For the definitions (i) - (iii) only. 1. Purposeful and considered a necessity to speak in particular way. 2. Justified or justifiable. That is, something really stupid had been done, has been attempted or is just about to be tried. 3. There will be no mention or acknowledgement of the positive(s) or status, if any, of the person spoken scornfully of/to. Or, where the good, position, etc. is mentioned, this will be done sarcastically or nonchalantly, without solemnities. 4. No niceties or due regards will be expressed or shown for protocol, order, seniority, etc. And no valuable resource will be deployed to the cause of person or thing being treated with disdain. 5. Rude comments or remarks, etc. will not be made on the prompting of another. That is, there will be a full conviction by who is being scornful about the stupidity or poorness by/of the person at the receiving end of acerbic tongue. 6. Person who is addressed scornfully will be present during the period, and/or listening, and understanding what is being said. 7. No unplanned loss arises from way of speaking. That is, response, reaction, replies, etc. will not be what will be unprepared for by the contemptuous speaker. 8.
