| SCORCHED EARTH POLICY Definitions: i. (in war) A policy of destroying anything in a particular area that may be useful to the enemy. ii. The deliberate burning, destruction, and removal by an army of everything that would be useful to an enemy coming into the area. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful to have and practice policy. 2. Considered a necessity to achieve specific aim(s). 3. Nothing useful to raiders will be in the particular area. 4. Authorized appropriately by the military high command. And the orders to destroy will be executed timely thereafter. 5. Destruction will be permanent or ruin remains for desired period. 6. Act or action achieves objective(s) or serves purpose(s), as exactly hoped or planned by the rampaging forces. 7. No collateral damage arises in situation. And there will be no need in the future for who destroys to reconstruct, restore, or rehabilitate damaged area. And forces responsible for causing damage will not bear or share reconstruction costs. 8. (Reserved.) (Burning, destruction, removal, etc. will be 'on the move'. That is, the people responsible for ruination will not be present in place when enemy arrives area!)
