| SCARIFICATION (2) Definition: A condition in which the top soil, or an area of grass, is broken up and loosened, has pieces of unwanted material removed from it. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to tamper with the balance of nature. 2. Occurs or commences at the most auspicious time (connect to #6). 3. What it is broken apart or waste removed is distinct and separated. 4. The ecosystem or environment will not be disturbed as a result. 5. Breakage of soil or removal of specific 'waste' serves purpose(s). 6. State of disequilibrium remains for period desired (to emphasize). 7.
