| SCARE (1) Definitions: i. (used especially in newspapers) A situation in which a lot of people are anxious or frightened about something. ii. A situation in which many people are afraid or worried because they think something dangerous is happening which will affect them. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Situation was not forecast or predicted. Or the extent of the projected impact of situation was exceeded, if there was an earlier warning of its occurrence. 2. No solution or 'answer' to situation, in the short term. 3. There will be a likelihood of serious losses in situation. Or the probability of risks, embarrassment, etc. is high, real and present. 4. No true leader or leadership will be available or provided in the situation or circumstance. That is, no effective orders, directives, commands, etc. can be given during period of fear, worry or fright. 5. Situation is inescapable and cannot be postponed or delayed. 6. Will last or exist for a period that is believed intolerable. That is, situation will continue like 'forever'. 7. Thoughts and/or concern will be only for or about the period thereafter - what will happen?, where will I/we be?, what becomes of me/us/them?, how will I/we/they cope?, etc., etc. _______________________________ See perfect HUE AND CRY.
