| SCAFFOLDING Definitions: i. Poles and boards that are joined together to make a structure for workers to stand on when they are working high up on the outside wall of a building. ii. A set of poles and boards made into a temporary framework that is used by workers when they are painting, repairing or building, usually outside. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see definition). 2. Structure or framework is safely secured. That is, the poles and boards are strong and tightly fixed together. 3. Dimensions - the height and width - are appropriate, won't call for worker to stretch or 'spread' to reach a point/place on the wall of a building. 4. Set or components of structure is/are complete. That is, accent and/or descent will be convenient or comfortable for workers. 5. Condition of poles and boards will be considered as okay by the workers - no threat, risk, etc. will be faced as a direct result of stepping on or touching the state poles and boards. 6. Stays in place for period required, until dismantled or pulled down, after serving its purpose(s). 7. (Reserved.)
