| SADIST Definition: A person who gets pleasure, especially sexual pleasure, from hurting other people. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful (see definition). 2. Considers cruelty a necessity (connect to #1). 3. People hurt are not the wrong persons (to emphasize). 4. Person getting pleasure will get no injury or wound, etc. as a direct consequence of hurtful action(s). That is, victim will not be able to effectively respond to or repel an attack or assault. 5. Won't listen to a plea to stop violent action or to reduce level of hurt being inflicted on another. 6. Obtains pleasure quickly. That is, hardship or suffering meted out will be for a tolerable period of time. 7. Will not ordinarily or easily admit to the fact that he or she is hurting another. (To emphasize.) 8.
