| RUBBERNECKER Definition: (informal, especially North American English) A person who turns to look at something while driving past it. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful, even if unnecessary (see perfect CURIOSITY (1)). 2. Thing is still there and seen on looking back (see perfect PRESENCE (2)). 3. No injury to neck of person (= driver) in the process (see perfect DISLOCATION (1)). 4. Driver(s) behind, if any, is/are not inconvenienced as a result. That is, speed of vehicle will be unaffected (see perfect ROAD RAGE). 5. What is seen can be clearly remembered afterwards (see perfect RECALL (1)). 6.
