| RING (4) Definition: A confined area in which animals or people perform or compete, with seats around the outside for the audience. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (see definition). 2. Considered a necessity to confine area. 3. Dimension of area is appropriate for performers/participants. 4. Clean, neat, etc. not dusty, dirty or unclean. Or, in the conditions desired, if applicable. And maintained regularly or as often as necessary. 5. Material(s) such as rope, etc. used to confine space is of excellent quality. 6. (Reserved.) {Structure, if it's not a marked ground, is very well built (= purpose-built). That is, will not collapse while in use.} 7. Seats are located at an appropriate distance from the area. That is, people in the audience are ordinarily safe from the probable consequences of the action in confined area. And the closeness will not pose a problem for performers or competitors. 8. Structure is made of the appropriate material(s) and this/these is/are uniformly spread across the whole surface. That is, no performer or competitor gets an undue advantage as a result of the way area is arranged/constructed (connect to #6). 9. Confined space is safe, secured and its immediate surroundings are protected for, especially the participants (to emphasize). 10.
