Beatnik
BEATNIK

Definitions:

i. A young person in the 1950s and early 1960s who rejected the way of life of ordinary society and showed this by behaving and dressing in a different way from most people.

ii. Beatniks were young people in the late 1950's who rejected traditional ways of living, dressing, and behaving. People sometimes used the word beatnik to refer to anyone who lives in an unconventional way.

2. Rebelliousness or protestation will not lead to lawbreaking.

5. Way(s) chosen was/were not primitive or backward: moves were never a 'one step forward, two steps back', even if style(s) did not become a craze.
