| RIB-TICKLER Definition: (informal) A funny joke or story. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary - the act of telling it and the joke or story, especially for the joker or storyteller! 2. Joke or story is told fully or completely, whenever it is told. And understood by listener/reader/hearer, etc. 3. Narrative lasts for a reasonable period of time, especially in the estimation of listener/reader/hearer, etc. 4. Not enhanced by a physical act such as a touch, push or shove, gesticulation or demonstration, etc. (See definition.) 5. Never previously heard or read by listener/reader/hearer, etc. ______________________________ A 'SERIOUS' JOKE OR STORY ... 6. Exact details of the end of joke or story cannot be known, until the very end stage of storytelling is reached. 7. Not 'expensive' or told at somebody's expense. That is, does not result in an unpleasant outcome, especially for storyteller or joker (Connect to #10.) 8. Reacted to appropriately. That is, a genuine smile, controlled laugh or a controllable laughter, hearty applause, etc. results from narration. 9. Serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s). 10.
