RHETORICAL QUESTION

Definitions:

i. A question posed for rhetorical effect, emphasis, etc. and not meant to be answered. Its context supplies its own answer by suggestion and admits of no other.

ii. A question asked to make a statement or to produce an effect rather than to get an answer.

iii. A question that is not intended as a real question because you do not expect anyone to answer it.

iv. A rhetorical question is one which is asked in order to make a statement rather than to get an answer.
