| RETURN (11) Definition: (in tennis and some other sports) The action of hitting the ball, etc. back to your opponent. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (connect to #2). 2. You consider it necessary to hit ball back. ______________________ SLOW OR FAST HIT. 3. Ball, etc. lands exactly on where you want it to land, but on the opponent's side of the court, table, etc. 4. Equipment (= racket, bat, etc.) is not damaged or destroyed as a result of the hit. ________________________________ LEFT-HANDED OR RIGHT-HANDED. 5. The action of hitting the ball, etc. does not result in a wound or an injury for you or to any part of your body. Or to any other person - official(s), opponent(s), spectator(s), etc., for that matter. 6. Ball, etc. is not hit back to you by the opponent. That is, your hit (= return) is 'unreturnable'! (To emphasize.) In other words, return will be with 'interest' ! ____________________________ PRACTICE OR COMPETITION ! 7. Ball, etc. is not damaged as a direct result of hit. 8.
