| RETREAT (3) Definition: An act of changing a decision because of criticism or because a situation has become too difficult. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (to emphasize). 2. Criticism is valid (= superior argument) or difficulty has become completely intractable (= at a breaking point). 3. No resort or recourse is possible in the situation. And indecision or nonchalance cannot suffice. 4. Gain or profit is the outcome of changed decision - though this can only be known later.
