| RETAIL THERAPY Definition: (usually humorous) The act of going shopping and buying things in order to make yourself feel more cheerful. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (see definition). 2. Necessity in your opinion to adopt method in search of cheerfulness. That is, there is a basis for decision. 3. Funds used are yours, fully owned. 4. Spending money is not your total balance. 5. You compile and go with a shopping list. 6. All the items on shopping list are available in the shop/store. 7. You experience no buyer's remorse at the end of shopping (connect to #4, #5 & #6, to emphasize). 8. You are not upset during the 'rounds' by shopkeepers, prices, shopping environment, etc. That is, there will be no bad memories of event afterwards. 9. Purpose(s) is/are achieved.
