Restrictive practices
RESTRICTIVE PRACTICES

Definitions:

i. (especially British English, often disapproving) Agreements or ways of working that limit the freedom of workers or employers in order to prevent competition or to protect people's jobs.

ii. (British) (business) Ways in which people involved in an industry, trade, or profession protect their own interests rather than having a system which is fair to the public, employers, and other workers.

1. Purposeful and necessary for practitioners.

2. Methods and strategies adopted are not illegal.

3. Ways (= tactics, rules, etc.) cannot be legislated against.

4. Causes no unplanned loss, of revenue, reputation, etc., for doers.

5. Standard and/or quality of goods produced or services rendered will not be reduced as a direct fallout of practice.

6. Sustained or lasts for as long as the system does not offer the required protection to industrialists, traders, professionals, etc.

7. Achieves objective(s)- keeps the industries afloat, workers employed, traders in business, etc.
