| RESHUFFLE Definition: The change around of the jobs that a group of people do, for example in a government. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary, in the opinion of the authority effecting changes. 2. Some basis or reason(s) for rearrangement exists and this will not be solely political. That is, there will be a proven case or proven cases - wrongdoing, inappropriateness, etc. - for the need to move persons round. 3. No new entrant or employee will be brought on board. And no new portfolio will be created (see definition, to emphasize). And no person will be dropped for an inexplicable reason or resign from group as a fallout of a 'demotion', 'disgrace', etc. 4. Change will be effected at a time considered auspicious, but not at such a moment that will be close to the last, or the next, change that was made or that will be made. That is, new appointees will have sufficient time to make desired impact. 5. Does not lead to inefficiency or incompetence, maladministration or mismanagement, laxity or disharmony, etc. That is, performance and productivity of the group will be improved and better enhanced as a direct result of changes made. 6. Supporting staff will not lose their jobs as a fallout of the redeployment of new heads being moved to different ministries, departments, agencies, etc. That is, labour and industrial harmony will be unaffected by changes made. 7. Head of the group will not be involved. That is, cabinet leader will not assume additional responsibilities as an outcome of changes. 8.
