| RESERVATION POLICY Definition: (in India) The policy of keeping a fixed number of jobs or places in schools, colleges, etc. for people who are members of scheduled classes, scheduled tribes or other backward classes. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Necessity to adopt strategy in the opinion of the authority/government. 3. Legal, that is appropriately authorized and/or approved. 4.
