RESEARCH FELLOW

Definition: A member of an academic institution whose job is to do research.

1. Purposeful and necessary, whatever the subject.

2. Officially appointed to undertake specialized study.

3. Has the wherewithal - time, space, support, etc. - to perform task.

4. Attained academic position honestly. That is, appropriately qualified to be a researcher in institution.

5. Will complete or conclude the research, unless death stops effort.

6. Will promptly, on finishing job, make the findings known, formally.

7. Achieves goal(s) or serves purpose(s), whatever this/these is/are.

8. Will be willing and able to defend and explain, teach or give a lecture on thesis, work, report, etc. to others who need to know.
