| RESCUE (1) Definition: The act of saving somebody/something from a dangerous or difficult situation; the fact of being saved. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. * This is about an act, not the fact. 1. Purposeful - even if unknown to others not directly involved. 2. Necessity to save person/thing, in the opinion of rescuer(s). __________________ FRIEND OR FOE, USEFUL OR USELESS THING (appreciated or not). 3. Situation or 'theatre' is known, even if not familiar with, before the start of the process leading to a saving. 4. Plans and planning, preparation and readiness are fully established before a 'plunge' is taken. __________________ WHATEVER TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT (whatever the risk(s) involved). 5. Actions embarked on are all very appropriate. That is, no illegality is committed in the process and person/thing being saved is not exposed to a greater danger or risk. 6. Acts and actions, processes and procedures, etc, are concluded timely and promptly, as planned or hoped for. __________________ HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES (whether regretted later or not). 7. No unplanned loss occurs to rescuer(s). 8. No unforeseen injury, wound, etc. or damage, destruction, etc. occurs to persons and equipment used to achieve good. __________________ WHATEVER THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE (with or without consequence(s)). | |
