| REPORT CARD Definition: (North American English) A written statement about a student's work at school, college, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Considered a necessity to write on progress or decline. 3. No error or mistake by school or college in the document. That is, report reflects true performance of student, whether signed or not. 4. Subjects or areas of study listed in document are complete. 5. Marks or point or grades written in document are the true scores earned by the student. That is, student did not cheat during test(s), practical(s), examination(s), etc. 6. Provision is made for remarks or comments by teacher, lecturer, etc. on the conduct of student, vis-a-viz performance in each subject or area of study. 7. No amendment or alteration is made by student in the document (if hand-delivered to student). 8. Progress report is submitted to parent(s), guardian(s), etc. by student or school authority, in good time. 9. Statement serves purpose(s) as hoped for. ______________________ ... PASS OR FAIL.
