Repentance
REPENTANCE

Definitions:

i. [ ~ (for something) ] The fact of showing that you are sorry for for something bad or wrong that you have done.

ii. The act of grieving for sins committed or for things sinfully left undone.

* All eight elements should be in.


1. Purposeful and believed necessary, by who is repentant.

2. Voluntary, not forced or cajoled to express remorse.

3. Happens timely, to fully assuage feeling of guilt.

4. Honest grieving (that is, regret is genuine).

2. What is done will not be a speech act. That is, not merely saying, 'I am sincerely sorry'; 'I apologize'; 'Please, forgive me', etc.
