REMAND CENTRE

Definition: (British English) A place where young people are sent when they are accused of a crime and are awaiting trial.

1. Purposeful (to emphasize, connect to #2).

2. Considered a necessity to keep youngsters in particular place as determined by regulations, etc. That is, place is approved by the law.

3. Safe and secured, providing adequate protection for whoever is an (the) accused.

4. Manned or staffed by appropriately qualified people who would teach the young accused the correct and proper ways to behave.

5. The accused are monitored round the clock, such that further accusations or problems do not arise from being kept in the place.

6. Clean, neat, tidy and livable for the accused persons.
