| RELIANCE Definition: [ ~ (on/upon somebody/something) ] The state of needing somebody/something in order to survive, be successful, etc; the fact of being able to rely on somebody/something. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements would be in. * This is on need, not ability. 1. Purposeful - if thoroughly considered before decision is taken. 2. Considered a necessity to rely on somebody/something, as no other viable option is or may be available (connect to #3). 3. No genuine or sincere efforts is possible by recipient. Or the efforts made or that will be made is or will be weak, minimal and so inconsequential. 4. Something is lost by the dependent person/party, even if fact of loss is unknown to the general public. 5. No indebtedness arises in the situation. That is, support that is got or will be received is or will be unconditional. 6. Source of need is guaranteed not to fail. That is, person/thing needed is always present and available. 7. No unplanned loss arises from the situation (connect to #4). 8. Survival, success, etc. that will be attained will be sustained or sustainable for period hoped for. 9. What will be got from need or ability will serve purpose(s). 10. State lasts for appropriate period in the opinion of provider of support.
