| RECRUITMENT (1) Definition: The act or process of getting new people to join a company, an organization or the armed forces. ______________________________________________________________________ * All thirteen elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (connect to #2, to emphasize). 2. Considered a necessity. That is, there is a need to employ more or new hand(s). In other words, there is/are a vacancy/vacant positions. 3. Processes - advertisement, application, shortlisting,interview, etc. - are done transparently. In other words, conditions are clearly stated and these are not circumvented by recruiter/applicant(s). 4. Timely conducted and concluded to help achieve purpose - to fill available vacancy or vacancies. 5. Process of joining is not too expensive or costly for job-seeker or person seeking a placement. 6. No law is broken in the process of getting new hand(s). 7. The people/persons employed are of the right calibre, in respect of qualification, experience, connection, etc. vis-a-viz expected responsibilities. 8. Appointment after the completion of processes must be timely. 9. Training, induction, etc., where necessary, is done effectively. 10. Position or placement given to new hand(s) must not be above the appointee's level of competence (but this can only be known afterwards). 11. Terms - perks, salary and allowances, etc. - must not be different on resumption from that advertised before appointment. And must be sustained or sustainable after new recruit joins up. Recruit stays in job/employment for length of time hoped for, even if this is for only one pay cheque.
