| RECOGNITION (1) Definition: The act of remembering who somebody is when you see them, or of identifying what something is. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to remember person or identify thing. 2. An awareness of the existence or presence of person or thing is firmly established. 3. Recollection of features of the person or thing, or the examination and confirmation of relevant details is undertaken. That is, all the things needed to establish correctness and completeness of person/thing are known and will be seen, if properly searched for. 4. What is seen is not blurred or hazy, confusing or obscurantist, whatever memories this may bring (connect to #3, to emphasize). That is, the senses are not confused by what is seen or heard or smelt or tasted or touched! __________________ NOT A SUSPICION. (more than a realization) 5. Doubts, if any, of what is seen, smelled, etc. are eliminated, by a reassessment or re-clarification, etc., if necessary. 6. Realization of who or what person/thing is full. Process or act of recall is completed promptly and timely, not beyond an allowable time - not late! (Connect to #8.) 8. A response or reaction or an overreaction, as applicable, arises from the act - be this a frown or smile, a brawl, fisticuffs or vituperation, a hug or a disappearance, etc. In other words, no error of judgment arises from knowledge. _______________________ NO MISTAKEN IDENTITY.
