REASSIGNMENT (1)

Definition: The act of giving somebody a different duty, position or responsibility.

1. Purposeful to try person in another area.

2. Necessity to effect redeployment in the opinion of authorizing person/organ. That is, there was a need or justification for change.

3. Person or authority approving change is authorized to effect same.

4. Person being given different assignment has the capability and ability to perform new role(s) effectively and efficiently.

5. Person had never performed the role previously. That is, not a duty, position or responsibility earlier performed, occupied or undertaken.

6. Person is provided all the wherewithal to perform in new role.

7. New duty, position or responsibility has specific and identifiable functions or schedules and these are made known to the person assigned new role(s).

8. New appointee performs well in new roles, as directed or expected (connect to #4, #5, #6 & #7).

9. New duty, position or responsibility is not one where an illegality will be performed (to emphasize).

10. Former duty, position or responsibility does not suffer as a result of change. That is, a replacement for where appointee left performs role(s) as creditably as, if not better than, the former person.

11. Act achieves objective(s).
