Reappointment
REAPPOINTMENT

Definition: The act of giving somebody the job that they used to have in the past.

* All nine elements should be in.


1. Purposeful and necessary.

2. The factors, if any, that led to earlier loss have been sorted out. Or will not have an effect on productivity, when reengaged person resumes.

3. Position returned to is exactly the position that was left earlier. That is, perks, responsibilities, pay and allowances, etc. will be unchanged.

4. New appointment is formalized. That is, appropriate procedures, as applicable, were followed before resumption. In other words, act is duly approved/authorized. (To connect to #2, to emphasize.)

5. Duties are performed on return to the best of worker's ability.

6. Act achieves objective(s), whatever this/these is/are, especially for the employer.

7. (Reserved.) (Reappointed person will work for a considerable period before proceeding on a final disengagement.)

8. Job given back is not as a result of the force of law.

9. The earlier replacement is redeployed or transferred, not thrown into the job search/labour market as a result of taking back old hand.
