| REALIST (2) Definition: A writer, painter, etc. whose work represents things as they are in real life. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Has a purpose and considers style necessary. 2. Artist has all five senses in excellent order. 3. Artist is deliberately not imaginative - adding and removing nothing from what he or she sees and paints/writes/says, etc. That is, no effort is made to embellish 'work of art'. 4. Work is not explained and need not be explained to patrons, buyers, students, etc. (connect to #5, see definition). _____________ 5. Artist titles his or her work appropriately (truthfully). (To emphasize.) 6. Work is a 'masterpiece'. That is, no queries or disagreements or criticisms arise from the writing, painting, etc. (connect to #3). 7. Artist secures patronage for work.
