You can move part of it in order to direct the light to where you need it for reading. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful to have lamp for reading. 2. Considered a necessity to use light of device. 3. Size or smallness will be adequate for easy handling. 4. Mobility will not be hampered by shortness of a cable or wire. 5. Brightness and/or colour of light will be of appropriate level. 6. Light/bulb remains on for period desired to help achieve goal(s). 7. Level of brightness can be controlled or adjusted (to emphasize). 8. Serves purpose(s), exactly as hoped for.
